Overview

Die 10-teilige Emmy ausgezeichnete Serie zeigt dabei alle Licht- und Schattenseiten, die die Männer in ihren Kämpfen durchstehen müssen.

Band of Brother ist die Verfilmung des Bestellers von Stephen E. Ambrose und erzählt de Geschite der Easy Company, 506th Regiment der 101st Airbone Division in der U.S. Army. Als vorlag dienten Interwies mit Saldaten der Easy Company, ihre Tagebüche und Briefe - eine Chronik der Erlebnisse von Männern, die Todesmut aufbrachten und Todesangst ertrugen. Als Elite-Einheit von Gewehrschützen sprangen sie früh am Morgen des D-Day über Frankreich ab, sie waren der Ardennenoffensive beteiligt und besetzten Hitlers Adlerhorst in Berchtesgarden. Die Einheit erlitt übermäßg hohe Verluste - Lebensläufe, die zur Legende wurden.
