A stunning flash-forward to a Los Angeles courthouse provides a glimpse into Kate's trial Episode 5 - The Constant Desmond and Sayid head towards the freighter in a helicopter when they hit some turbulence. In a flash, Desmond is back in basic training at his military base, and then, just as quickly, he is back on the freighter.
