1. It's Alive!
After killing his brother Brian, the Ice Truck Killer, at the end of last season, Dexter (MICHAEL C. HALL) now finds himself unable to kill again. He certainly wants to, and in fact needs to, but he is unnerved by feelings he can't understand. Drifting from the "Code of Harry," Dexter goes after particulary dangerous victim named Little Chino in order to regain his old form - with disatrous results. After nearly being killed by the Ice Truck Killer, Debra (JENNIFER CARPENTER) returns to work at Miami Metro PD, but show signs that she may not be ready to resume duty just yet. Meanwhile, Dexter's biggest secret is about to surface for all to see.
2. Waiting to Exhale
Dexter, still trying to recover his killer instincts, continues his pursuit of the homicidal gangster, Little Chino. However, he soon finds himself being pursued, all while haunted by memories of his dead brother, the Ice Truck Killer. Debra convinces herself she is past the trauma of her ordeal with the Ice Truck Killer, but loses control on the job. As they both struggle with their recent pasts, Agent Lundy (KEITH CARRADINE), a high-profile FBI agent, comes to Miami Metro Pd to break the case of the city's newly discovered serial killer, The Bay Harbor Butcher.
3. An Inconvenient Lie
Dexter stalks his latest victim: a murder so vile he could only be a used-car salesman. Dexter finds the man's smoothtalking charm and effortless lying something that he lacks himself these days. In fact, Dexter's inability to lie to Rita (JULIE BENZ) about his midnight activities has caused her to think that he's a drug addict, and if he doesn't commit to a 12-step program to deal with his addiction, she treatens to leave him. In recovery, however, Dexter meets a mysterious and sexy woman named Lila. |
